When Frank Sweet Webb was born on November 7, 1887, his father, William, was 28 and his mother, Elizabeth, was 25. He had one brother and four sisters. He served in the U.S. Army during World War II as a Corporal in Battery F, 7th Field Artillery Regiment, 1st Division. He was Killed in Action on July 23, 1918 (at the age of 30) but his current burial place is unknown. He has a cenotaph in Yantic Cemetery, Norwich, New London County, Connecticut, USA.
