Robert Edward “Bob” McNabb was born on August 29, 1897 in Fitchburg, Worcester County, Massachusetts. He was the son of Joseph and mary E. McNabb. He served in the U.S. Army during World War II as a Private First Class in Company A, 2nd Machine Gun Battalion, 1st Infantry Division. He was Killed in Action on July 19, 1918 (at the age of 20) in France and is now buried in St. Bernards Cemetery, Fitchburg, Worcester County, Massachusetts, USA. His name is inscribed on the Buzancy monument as a Private.
