Walter T. Gray was born in July 1886. He was the son of Edward & Susie Gray of Long Ridge, Ky. Sgt Gray arrived in France in June 1917 and was wounded in July 1918 at Chateau Thierry while with Co. K, 16th Infantry. He returned to his regiment and was killed in action on the Argonne front on October 14, 1918 at the age of 32. He is now buried in Owenton IOOF Cemetery, Owenton, Owen County, Kentucky, USA.
