When Isaac H. Lyons was born on May 12, 1892, in Wadena, Minnesota, his father, Harrison, was 50 and his mother, Flora, was 38. He had one brother and three sisters. He served in the U.S. Army during World War I as a Private in Company L, 16th Infantry Regiment, 1st Infantry Division. He was Killed in Action on October 9, 1918 (at the age of 26) in France and is now buried in Greenlawn Cemetery, Verndale, Wadena County, Minnesota, USA.
