Marshall Charles Cropper was born on January 2, 1894 in Canton, Stark County, Ohio. His father is Benjamin F. and his mother is Mary Gravis Cropper. He served in the U.S. Army during World War I as a Private in Company M, 16th Infantry Regiment, 1st Infantry Division. He was Killed in Action on September 29, 1918 (at the age of 24) in France and is now buried in West Lawn Cemetery, Canton, Stark County, Ohio, USA.
