George Philip Stormwas born on September 6, 1878 in Catasauqua, Lehigh County, Pennsylvania. His father is John and his mother is Catherine Leickel Storm. He entered the military service in California and served in the U.S. Army during World War I as a Battalion Sergeant Major in HQ Company, 16th Infantry Regiment, 1st Infantry Division. He was Killed in Action but declared "Missing" on October 9, 1918 and is memorialized on Tablets of the Missing, Meuse-Argonne American Cemetery and Memorial, Romagne-sous-Montfaucon, Departement de la Meuse, Lorraine, France.
