Nunzio Scolarowas born on March 25, 1887 in Sant'Angelo di Brolo, Cittą Metropolitana di Messina, Sicilia, Italy. He had one son with Vincenza Julia in 1907. He served in the U.S. Army during World War I as a Private in Company A, 18th Infantry Regiment, 1st Infantry Division. He was Killed in Action on October 10, 1918 and is now buried in Meuse-Argonne American Cemetery and Memorial, Romagne-sous-Montfaucon, Departement de la Meuse, Lorraine, France.
