Bert Littlefield was born in Elmwood, Peoria County, Illinois, the is the son of Mr. Samuel & Cora Littlefield. He served in the U.S. Army during World War I as a Private in Company E, 18th Infantry Regiment, 1st Infantry Division. He was Killed in Action on October 5, 1918 (at the age of 22) in the Meuse-Argonne Offensive in France and is now buried in Arlington National Cemetery, Arlington, Arlington County, Virginia, USA.
