Earl O. Foust was born on August 8, 1894 in Fostoria, Seneca County, Ohio. Earl was the son of Shannon L. Foust and Nora Brown. He served in the U.S. Army during World War I as a Private in Company H, 18th Infantry Regiment, 1st Infantry Division. He was Killed in Action on October 6, 1918 (at the age of 24) in France and is now buried in Fountain Cemetery, Fostoria, Hancock County, Ohio, USA.
