Everett Joseph Bourdon was born on October 12, 1895 in Loudon, Merrimack County, New Hampshire. He was the son of James and Flora Bourdon. He had 5 siblings. He enlisted in the U.S. Army on May 25, 1918. He served during WWI as a Private in Co I, 18th Infantry, 1st Div. He was killed in action on 5 October 1918 in France and is now buried in Blossom Hill Cemetery, Concord, Merrimack County, New Hampshire, USA. He was awarded the purple heart posthumously. His name is commemorated on the First Infantry Division monument in Saint-Juvin, France but his surname is inscribed as Bourbon.
