Isidor Olian was born on June 6, 1888 in Hrodzienskaja, Belarus. His parents were Hyman and Dena Lubitz Olian. He had seven siblings. He served in the U.S. Army during World War I as a Private in Company K, 18th Infantry Regiment, 1st Infantry Division. He was Killed in Action on October 2, 1918 in France at the age of 30 and was temporarily buried in Meuse-Argonne American Cemetery in France. He is now buried in Mount Zion Cemetery, Maspeth, Queens County, New York, USA.
