Harry Fast was born in 1892. He served in the U.S. Army during World War I as a Private in Company L, 18th Infantry Regiment, 1st Infantry Division. He was Killed in Action on October 4, 1918 in France at the age of 26 and is now buried in Columbus Lodge Cemetery, New Haven, New Haven County, Connecticut, USA. His name is commemorated on the First Infantry Division monument in Saint-Juvin, France but his surname is inscribed as Faest.
