Frederick W. Bullers was born on April 15, 1894 in What Cheer, Keokuk County, Iowa. He was the son of Samuel and Matilda Jane Bradley Bullers. He entered the military service in Nevada and served in the U.S. Army during World War I as a Private in Company D, 26th Infantry Regiment, 1st Infantry Division. He was Killed in Action but declared "Missing" on October 3, 1918 and is memorialized on Tablets of the Missing, Meuse-Argonne American Cemetery and Memorial, Romagne-sous-Montfaucon, Departement de la Meuse, Lorraine, France. He also has a marker in Hamilton Cemetery, Hamilton, Marion County, Iowa, USA.
