Peter Conboy died from his wounds received in battle while serving in the US Army during World War I as a Private in Company E, 26th Infantry Regiment, 1st Infantry Division. His name is commemorated on the First Infantry Division monument in Saint-Juvin, France but his surname is inscribed as Conbey.
Co. E, 26th Infantry Regt., 1st Division. Died of Wounds received in Action. He arrived in NY in Jun 1910 aboard the SS California, giving his brother Francis as next of kin in Ireland.
