Henry H. Lloyd was born on May 3, 1895. He served in the U.S. Army during World War I as a Sergeant in Company E, 28th Infantry Regiment, 1st Infantry Division. He was Killed in Action on October 4, 1918 at the age of 23 and is now buried in Oakland Cemetery, Philadelphia, Philadelphia County, Pennsylvania, USA. The Memorial Star in the Grand Court of the historic John Wanamaker Store in Philadelphia permanently honors Sgt. Lloyd and other employees who died during World War I.
