Frank E. Lidral was born on May 26, 1899. He enlisted in the Army on May 27, 1917 in Wisconsin with Co F 28 Inf 32 Div as a Private. He served during World War I as a Private in Company F, 28th Infantry Regiment, 1st Infantry Division. He was Killed in Action on October 12, 1918 and is now buried in Meuse-Argonne American Cemetery and Memorial, Romagne-sous-Montfaucon, Departement de la Meuse, Lorraine, France. He also has a marker in Saint Mary's Catholic Cemetery, Algoma, Kewaunee County, Wisconsin, USA. His name is commemorated on the First Infantry Division monument in Saint-Juvin, France but his surname is inscribed as Lidril.
