Henry Geary Diehl was born on October 1, 1895. He was the son of David W.W. Diehl and Ida V. Messersmith Diehl. He served in the U.S. Army during World War I as a Private in the 112th Infantry Regiment. He was Killed in Action on October 30, 1918 in Huamont, France at the age of 23 and is now buried in Friends Cove United Church of Christ Cemetery, Bedford, Bedford County, Pennsylvania, USA.
