When George Paul Frankforter was born on February 17, 1895, in Manchester, Maryland, his father, Jacob, was 41 and his mother, Mary, was 32. He had one brother. He served in the U.S. Army during World War I as a Corporal in Company E, 115th Infantry Regiment, 29th Infantry Division. He died on November 13, 1918 at the age of 23 and is now buried in United Church of Christ Cemetery, Manchester, Carroll County, Maryland, USA.
