He was Killed in Action on October 9, 1918 in Argonne battle and is now buried in Mount Olivet Cemetery, Key West, Dubuque County, Iowa, USA. He also has a cenotaph located in Victory Memorial Drive, Minneapolis, Hennepin County, Minnesota, USA. His name is commemorated on the First Infantry Division monument in St. Juvin, France but his surname is inscribed as Corcorn.
