Robert Edward “Bobby” Schneider, aged 22, was born on April 18, 1922 in Day, Modoc County, California. He was the son of Fred Schneider and Viola Ellen Rogers Schneider. Robert served in the 363rd Infantry Regiment, 91st Infantry Division as a Private First Class during World War II. He died on September 17, 1944 during the battle in the area of Ponzalla, Italy and is now buried in the Golden Gate National Cemetery, San Bruno, San Mateo County, California, USA.
