Gerald L. Warthen, aged 20, was born on February 14, 1924 in Nebraska. He was the son of Ervin Warthen and Winnie G. Rusler Warthen. Gerald served in the 363rd Infantry Regiment, 91st Infantry Division as a Private First Class during World War II. He was Killed in Action on July 8, 1944 during the battle in the area of Ponzalla, Italy and is now buried in the Valhalla Memorial Park, North Hollywood, Los Angeles County, California, USA.
