Ward Carlson Woodland, aged 22, was born on September 5, 1922 in Pocatello, Bannock County, Idaho. He was the son of James Melvin Woodland and Lillie Charlotte Carlson Woodland. Ward served in Company E, 363rd Infantry Regiment, 91st Infantry Division as a Staff Sergeant during World War II. He died on September 17, 1944 during the battle in the area of Ponzalla, Italy and is now buried in the Mountain View Cemetery, Pocatello, Bannock County, Idaho, USA.
