Alberton W. Vinal was born on January 11, 1895. He was the son of John Warren Vinal and Elizabeth Bridgeford Vinal. He served in the U.S. Army during World War I as a Private in the 101st Engineer Train. He was Killed in Action on June 19, 1918 in France at the age of 23 and is now buried in Riverside Cemetery, North Chelmsford, Middlesex County, Massachusetts, USA. The Vinal Square in North Chelmsford, MA is named for him.
