Joseph Z. Pritchett, Jr. was born on February 2, 1917, son of Mr. and Mrs. Joe Pritchett. He was an employee of Firestone Tire and Rubber Co. before volunteering for the Army. He had served with Gen. Mark Clark's Fifth Army in the Battles for Tunisia and Sicily, and was sent to England for a rest four months before the invasion. He was Killed in Action on June 25, 1944 at the age of 27 and is now buried in Marietta National Cemetery, Marietta, Cobb County, Georgia, USA. Source of information: www.findagrave.com
