Frederick Lewis Brandt was born on January 11, 1921 in York, York County, Pennsylvania. He was the son of Emory Wesley Brandt and Bertha Ellen Allison Brandt. Frederick served in the U.S. Army during World War II as a First Lieutenant in the 16th Infantry Regiment, 1st Infantry Division. He was Killed in Action on June 6, 1944 during the invasion on Omaha Beach, France at the age of 23 and is now buried in Greenmount Cemetery, York, York County, Pennsylvania, USA.
