Walter Henry Kulp was born on February 10, 1925. He was the son of Raymond Elwood Kulp and Verna C. Lentz Kulp. Private Kulp had been in the service since May 15, 1943, and had trained at Fort McClellan, Alabama, before going overseas. He was an infantryman and was attached to Company L, 16th Infantry Regiment, 1st Infantry Division. Prior to his induction he was employed as a carpenter's helper at the Indiantown Gap Military Reservation. He was Killed in Action on June 6, 1944 during the invasion on Omaha Beach, France at the age of 19 and is now buried in Mount Lebanon Cemetery, Lebanon, Lebanon County, Pennsylvania, USA.
