Clovis E. Madoux was born on June 22, 1914 in Oklahoma. He was the son of Lonnie W. Madoux and Cora M. Madoux. Clovis served in the U.S. Army during World War II as a Staff Sergeant in the 16th Infantry Regiment, 1st Infantry Division. He died on June 6, 1944 during the invasion on Omaha Beach, France at the age of 29 and is now buried in Valley View Cemetery, Edwardsville, Madison County, Illinois, USA.
