Kenneth R. Day was born in 1921 in New Hampshire. He enlisted in the Army on July 30, 1942 in Manchester, New Hampshire. He was noted, at the time of his enlistment, as being employed as a Carpenter's apprentice and also as Single, without dependents. Kenneth served as a Private First Class, 18th Infantry Regiment, 1st Infantry Division, U.S. Army during World War II. He resided in Rockingham County, New Hampshire prior to the war. He was Killed in Action on June 15, 1944 and is now buried in Normandy American Cemetery, Colleville-sur-Mer, France.
