Everett Dean Day was born on September 28, 1919 in Miles, Lincoln County, Washington. He was the son of James Day and Anna Zanetta Wesseler Day. Everett served in the U.S. Army during World War II as a Private First Class in the 635th Tank Destroyer Battalion. He was Killed in Action on June 27, 1944 in France at the age of 24 and is now buried in Riverview Cemetery, Chelan, Chelan County, Washington, USA.
