David E. Littleton was born on August 25, 1918 in Carter County, Kentucky. He was the son of John W. Littleton and Plura Alice McDowell Littleton. David served in the U.S. Army during World War II as a Private First Class in the 1st Infantry Division. He died on June 6, 1944 during the invasion on Omaha Beach, France at the age of 25 and is now buried in Everman Cemetery, Gregoryville, Carter County, Kentucky, USA.
