Forrest F. Rice was born on September 12, 1921 in Reading, Berks County, Pennsylvania. He was a son of Fredrick L. and Lillie M. Rice. He enlisted in the U.S. Army on November 7, 1942 at Allentown, Pennsylvania. Forrest served in the U.S. Army during World War II as a Private First Class in the 1st Infantry Division. He was Killed in Action on June 6, 1944 during the invasion on Omaha Beach, France at the age of 22 and is now buried in Gettysburg National Cemetery, Gettysburg, Adams County, Pennsylvania, USA.
