Louis F. Nesci was born on July 10, 1925. He was the son of Domenico F. Nesci and Carmela Gentile Nesci. Shortly after his graduation from St. Peter's high school in June 1943, he was inducted into the army at Fort Hayes, Columbus, Ohio. He received his basic training at Camp Wheeler, Ga. and was sent overseas. Louis served in the U.S. Army during World War II as a Private in the 1st Infantry Division. He was Killed in Action on June 6, 1944 during the invasion on Omaha Beach, France at the age of 18 and is now buried in Saint Peter's Catholic Cemetery, Westernport, Allegany County, Maryland, USA.
