Charles Cranor, Jr. was born in 1923. He was the son of Charles Meredith Cranor and Margaret Tator Cranor. Charles served in the U.S. Army during World War II as a Private in Company D, 18th Infantry Regiment, 1st Infantry Division. He was killed in a skirmish around LaLande, France on June 12, 1944 and is now buried in Miller Cemetery, Middletown, Henry County, Indiana, USA.
