Joe A. "Joe" Ayoub was born on June 1, 1917 in El Paso, El Paso County, Texas. He served in the 341st Bombardment Squadron as a Staff Sergeant. He died on October 30, 1943 at the age of 23 in India and is now buried in the Fort Bliss National Cemetery, El Paso, El Paso County, Texas, USA. Joe served as an aviator in WWII and was one of over 2000 Americans who lost their lives defending China from their Japanese invaders from 1941-1945. He is commemorated on the The Monument to the Aviation Martyrs in the War of Resistance Against Japan in Nanjing, China.
