Alfred Martin Baloyan, Jr. was born in 1923 in Grand Rapids, Kent County, Michigan. He served in the US Air Corps as a Private First Class. He died on December 1, 1943 in Rangoon, Yangon Region, Myanmar and is now buried in the Zachary Taylor National Cemetery, Louisville, Jefferson County, Kentucky, USA together with his crew in a common grave and name is inscribed on a group headstone. Alfred served as an aviator in WWII and was one of over 2000 Americans who lost their lives defending China from their Japanese invaders from 1941-1945. He is commemorated on the The Monument to the Aviation Martyrs in the War of Resistance Against Japan in Nanjing, China.
