Norman Turner Bayne, aged 21, was born on January 4, 1924 in Madison, Jefferson County, Indiana. He served in the Air Corps as a Private First Class and R/OT of an aircraft in World War II. Norman died on March 1, 1945 and is now buried in the Jefferson Barracks National Cemetery, Lemay, St. Louis County, Missouri, USA in a common grave with his crew. Bayne was one of over 2000 Americans who lost their lives defending China from their Japanese invaders from 1941-1945.
