Frank L. Berger was born on August 20, 1922. He was the son of Franklin Everett Berger and Belle I. Levy Berger. He enlisted in the Army in August 1942. He served in the Air Corps as a Staff Sergeant. He died on September 5, 1944 at the age of 22 and is now buried in the Hope Cemetery, Worcester, Worcester County, Massachusetts, USA. Frank served as an aviator in WWII and was one of over 2000 Americans who lost their lives defending China from their Japanese invaders from 1941-1945. He is commemorated on the The Monument to the Aviation Martyrs in the War of Resistance Against Japan in Nanjing, China.
