James Edgar “Jedda” Bragg was born on November 22, 1920. He was the son of David Edgar Bragg and Gretelle Russell Bragg. 1Lt. Bragg was a navigator in a cargo plane which crashed on take off in Sauwa Asam, India during World War II. He is now buried in the Willow Wild Cemetery, Bonham, Fannin County, Texas, USA. He was one of over 2000 Americans who lost their lives defending China from their Japanese invaders from 1941-1945. He is commemorated on the The Monument to the Aviation Martyrs in the War of Resistance Against Japan in Nanjing, China.
