Ramon E. Bring was born on September 28, 1922 in Rosalie, Thurston County, Nebraska. He was the son of Oscar E. Bring and Edna Mae Bring. He took his basic training at Jefferson Barracks, Mo., and Texas Army Air bases, was graduated from the Lubbock Field at Lubbock, Tex., on March 12, 1944. Following a short period at Bowman Field, Ky., he went overseas. Ramon served in the 1st Combat Cargo Squadron as a 2nd Lieutenant. He died in an airplane crash in India on September 23, 1944 in India and is now buried in the National Memorial Cemetery of the Pacific, Honolulu, Honolulu County, Hawaii, USA. He also has a cenotaph located in Lyons Cemetery, Lyons, Burt County, Nebraska, USA.

He was one of over 2000 Americans who lost their lives defending China from their Japanese invaders from 1941-1945. He is commemorated on the The Monument to the Aviation Martyrs in the War of Resistance Against Japan in Nanjing, China but his name is inscribed as Raymond.
