Charles N. Buchtel, aged 27, was born on July 22, 1917. He served in the 341st Bombardment Group as a First Lieutenant and Pilot of an aircraft. He died on January 14, 1945 and is now buried in the National Memorial Cemetery of the Pacific, Honolulu, Honolulu County, Hawaii, USA. Charles was one of over 2000 Americans who lost their lives defending China from their Japanese invaders from 1941-1945.
