John A. Calderotta was born on August 9, 1923 in Illinois. He served in the US Air Corps as a Sergeant. John was Killed in Action on January 25, 1944 at the age of 20 in India and is now buried in the Queen of Heaven Catholic Cemetery, Hillside, Cook County, Illinois, USA. He was one of over 2000 Americans who lost their lives defending China from their Japanese invaders from 1941-1945.
