Harold D. Colvard was born on November 21, 1915. He served in the US Air Corps as a First Lieutenant and Pilot of an aircraft during World War II. Harold died on August 23, 1944 at the age of 28 and is now buried in the Fort Gibson National Cemetery, Fort Gibson, Muskogee County, Oklahoma, USA in a common grave whith PFC Kennith N. Mcminn. He was one of over 2000 Americans who lost their lives defending China from their Japanese invaders from 1941-1945. He is commemorated on the The Monument to the Aviation Martyrs in the War of Resistance Against Japan in Nanjing, China and ranked as Second Lieutenant.
