Kenneth Coric was born on April 3, 1919 in Peoria, Peoria County, Illinois. He is a graduate of Woodruff H.S., and was employed at Pabst Brewery in Peoria, and was once scouted by the Chicago Cubs. He served in the 1330th Army Air Force Base Unit as a Sergeant and Crew Chief of an aircraft during World War II. Kenneth died while flying out of India in the China-Burma-India Theater of Operations while flying on a B-29 Bomber full of supplies. He is now buried in the Rock Island National Cemetery, Rock Island, Rock Island County, Illinois, USA.

Kenneth was one of over 2000 Americans who lost their lives defending China from their Japanese invaders from 1941-1945. He is commemorated on the The Monument to the Aviation Martyrs in the War of Resistance Against Japan in Nanjing, China.
