Albert Joseph Dugas was born in 1924. He served in the 490th Bomber Squadron, 341st Bomber Group, Medium as a Flight Officer and Pilot of the B-25J Mitchell #3-4086 during World War II. He was Killed in Action on February 10, 1945 over Burma while returning from a bombing and strafing mission of a Japanese held jungle target, when his aircraft, operating on a single engine, crashed in poor weather. He is now buried in the Our Lady Of Lourdes Roman Catholic Cemetery, Burgettstown, Washington County, Pennsylvania, USA.

He was one of over 2000 Americans who lost their lives defending China from their Japanese invaders from 1941-1945. He is commemorated on the The Monument to the Aviation Martyrs in the War of Resistance Against Japan in Nanjing, China but hid middle name's initial is inscribed as K.
