John J. Eichmann was born on August 30, 1921 in New York. He was the son of Andrew Eugene Eichmann and Elizabeth R. Duffy Eichmann. He was trained at Aloe flying field and is slated for active dytu. He served in the US Army Air Forces as a First Lieutenant and Pilot of an aircraft during World War II. John died on July 8, 1945 and is now buried in the Saint Charles Cemetery, East Farmingdale, Suffolk County, New York, USA. He was one of over 2000 Americans who lost their lives defending China from their Japanese invaders from 1941-1945. He is commemorated on the The Monument to the Aviation Martyrs in the War of Resistance Against Japan in Nanjing, China.
