Frank L. Gaines was born on January 8, 1922. He served in the US Air Corps as a Staff Sergeant and Engineer/Gunner of an aircraft during World War II. Frank died on November 23, 1944 at the age of 22 and is now buried in the Robert Hill Cemetery, Bloomfield, Stoddard County, Missouri, USA. He was one of over 2000 Americans who lost their lives defending China from their Japanese invaders from 1941-1945.
