Charles M. Glass was born in 1915. He enlisted during WWII at Ft. DesMoines, Iowa as an Aviation Cadet. He had four years of college, was divorced, and had no dependents. Charles served in the 1327th Army Air Force Base Unit as a Captain and Pilot of an aircraft. He was missing September 16, 1944 but was declared officially dead on February 15, 1946 and is commemorated on the Walls of the Missing, Manila American Cemetery, Taguig City, Philippines. He was one of over 2000 Americans who lost their lives defending China from their Japanese invaders from 1941-1945. He is commemorated on the The Monument to the Aviation Martyrs in the War of Resistance Against Japan in Nanjing, China.
