Morris C. Glaze was born on November 14, 1913. He was the son of Homer Harrison Glaze and Geneva Patterson Glaze. Morris served in the 1337th Army Air Force Base Unit as a Corporal and Crew Chief of an aircraft during World War II. He was declared "Missing in Action" on October 20, 1944 and is commemorated on the Walls of the Missing, Manila American Cemetery, Taguig City, Philippines. He also has a cenotaph located in Dadeville Masonic Cemetery, Dadeville, Dade County, Missouri. Morris was one of over 2000 Americans who lost their lives defending China from their Japanese invaders from 1941-1945. He is also commemorated on the The Monument to the Aviation Martyrs in the War of Resistance Against Japan in Nanjing, China but death date is inscribed as 1944-10-19.
