Frank Parrish Heilman, Jr. was born on January 13, 1918. He was the son of Frank Parrish Heilman and Verna K. Day Heilman. Frank served in the 1330th Army Air Force Base Unit as a Private and Radio Operator of an aircraft during World War II. Frank died on March 1, 1945 at the age of 27 and is now buried in the National Memorial Cemetery of the Pacific, Honolulu, Honolulu County, Hawaii, USA. He also has a cenotaph located in Brooksville Knights of Pythias Cemetery, Brooksville, Bracken County, Kentucky. He was one of over 2000 Americans who lost their lives defending China from their Japanese invaders from 1941-1945. He is commemorated on the The Monument to the Aviation Martyrs in the War of Resistance Against Japan in Nanjing, China.
