William Edgar Houser was born on November 10, 1923. He served in the 2nd Troop Carrier Squadron as a Staff Sergeant and Crew Chief of an aircraft during World War II. William died on December 10, 1943 over Burma and is now buried in the National Memorial Cemetery of the Pacific, Honolulu, Honolulu County, Hawaii, USA. He also has a cenotaph located in Green Lawn Memorial Park, Montgomery, Lycoming County, Pennsylvania. He was one of over 2000 Americans who lost their lives defending China from their Japanese invaders from 1941-1945. He is commemorated on the The Monument to the Aviation Martyrs in the War of Resistance Against Japan in Nanjing, China.
